Day 100 – Collaboration Ignites Creativity

The intensely collaboration yet highly competitive connection which pushed each artist toward his own artistic triumph…. this is the description of Rausenburg and Johns relationship, thus leading to Pop Art, the first American style that led away from Abstract Expressionism. But, the real point is that Art movements involve artistic collaboration, and regional Art identities have their own collaborative face.

We in Seattle have great schools of artistic collaboration, like Cornish, Georgetown Atelier, Pratt, Whidbey Island Fine Art, Pilchuck, and Port Townsend Centrum. But, for the most part artists are dispersed into society and left alone. Thus, preserving this generalized concept of an artistic temperament.

Full Art Catalog believes that their needs to be a regional platform and pulse to display this regional face or movements, a place where voices can be exchanged. A place also to keep artist current in the public eye , and a place for an artist to see the possibilities of artist collaboration.
